Enforcement
The obligation sits in the Code of Economic Law and is enforced by the Economic Inspection, with a higher band where bad faith is found. Belgian criminal fines are multiplied by a statutory surcharge, which lifts the effective figure well above the nominal band.
The surcharge is statutory but its application to these particular bands rests on commentary rather than a text we could read directly, so treat the figure as indicative.
Directive (EU) 2019/882
The European Accessibility Act has applied since 28 June 2025. Article 13(2) requires you to publish specific information about how your service meets the accessibility requirements, put it with your terms, and show that you monitor it. That is the part companies miss, because unlike a contrast failure you cannot see it by looking at the site.
